Our Story

TreeCasa began as an inspired vision of a place where nature and human connection harmonize seamlessly. It all started with two grand Ceiba trees, deeply rooted in the El Encanto jungle, serving as both the cornerstone and muse for our journey.

In 2006, a group of visionary Californians set out to create a sustainable community on Nicaragua’s Emerald Coast. This led to the founding of El Encanto del Sur, a testament to the enriching interplay between people and the natural environment. A decade later, in search of a haven for relaxation and community engagement, they discovered the remarkable Ceiba twins. These revered trees, significant in Mesoamerican culture for linking the cosmos, earth, and underworld, sparked a deeper ambition for TreeCasa.

The Ceibas are now central to our identity, anchoring a vibrant space where nature and human creativity flourish. Today, these trees host our unique three-level tree lounge, inviting visitors to weave their own experiences into our ongoing narrative.
